P R Oliver Cornwall
Until now, I have been impressed not only by your independence but also by your fair-mindedness. But not after your 8 January headline: - "Agricultural minister sells his calves for veal". The smear suggests that Mr Waldegrave is himself the offender. I may myself burn your paper reading, thus causing pollution. I may use it to wrap fish and chips; it may even find its way into the lavatory. But this does not mean that in selling the newspaper you intend it to be so used.
