In "They kept the red flag flying", (Review, 21 July) you print a certificate with the caption "a letter of thanks from the Spanish Republicans sent after the war". It was in fact given to me in Barcelona six months before the end of the war. Also, the anarchist in the vineyards was not the owner but the manager appointed by the Popular Front. Finally, I did not, as you write, go to Spain because I was unemployed but I left my job to fight for a principle.
