Your headline "What price a live tiger? What price a fur coat?" (Letters, 20 October) is misleading. The international fur trade imposed a voluntary ban on species that were thought to be endangered in 1971 (eg tiger, snow leopard). None of the wild fur-bearing species used by the fur trade are endangered.
