JUST how much do we need the 141 and 1471 call-vetting "services" from British Telecom? Apart from 141's perve-shielding (Letters, 3 March) and 1471's hint of "snooping", how far, in an age of answerphones, pagers and mobile phones, are most people these days from "urgent" contact with callers they'd managed to ignore quite happily for years?
