LETTERS: Never say Dai, say Davies

Good to read Sue Gaisford's rave review of I Was That Teenager, now running on Radio 4, but a bit worrying to see her praising the presenter, "the estimable Russell Davies". I hope when she discovers it was me, I will be considered equally estimable. I was once on The Jimmy Young Show and got addressed as Russell. The late Russell Harty was often called Russell Davies, which really annoyed him. Just to add to the confusion, Russell Davies himself is rarely called Russell. Most of his friends call him Dai.
