The Jonas Brothers are reforming, six years after their split – and releasing a new single imminently.

The group announced their reunion on Thursday morning on social media, sharing a photo of the three siblings – Joe, Nick and Kevin – with the name of their new single, “Sucker”, inscribed in the bottom right corner.

“Sucker” is due to debut “at midnight ET”, by which time it will be 5am on Friday in the UK.

The American pop rock trio, who rose to fame in the mid-2000s mainly through appearances on Disney Channel, released their last studio album to date, Lines, Vines and Trying Times, in 2009.

They announced their split in October 2013, cancelling a 19-date tour just a couple of days before the first show.

A spokesman for the group told Us at the time: ”There is a deep rift within the band.

He added: ““There was a big a disagreement over their music direction.”

Joe, Nick and Kevin are now aged respectively 29, 26 and 31.

Joe has formed a new band, DNCE, with Jack Lawless, Cole Whittle, and JinJoo Lee. Last year, he joined The Voice Australia as a coach, and voiced a character in Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation.

He and Game of Thrones‘s Sophie Turner announced their engagement in October 2017.

Nick has pursued a solo career and has released two studio albums since the group’s split. He has also appeared in films, including Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle in 2017.

He and actor Priyanka Chopra married in December last year.
