Truck festival has announced its first wave of acts for 2019, including a headline appearance from Foals that will take place in their home county of Oxfordshire, for their first homecoming show in five years.

The British rock band will perform alongside fellow headliners Wolf Alice, Two Door Cinema Club and Slaves, at the festival that takes place at Hill Farm in Oxfordshire between 26-28 July.

Foals recently announced their first album since 2015, which will be called Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost, released in two parts over 2019. The first part is scheduled for release on 8 March.

Frontman Yannis Philappakis told NME in 2017 that the current state of the world has made its way into some of the band’s new material.

“I think the world is obviously affecting the way we feel as individuals,” he said. “I definitely feel that when I’m writing lyrics or music, that it’s in dialogue with what’s going on around me in isolation – so I’m sure there will be things in the lyrics to do with, not just the political climate, but also the environmental situation that’s happening now.”

Also announced to perform at Truck Festival are rock bands Nothing But Thieves, Don Broco and You Me at Six, plus Whenyoung, She Drew the Gun, Ten Tonnes, Sea Girls, Palace, Kate Nash and Lewis Capaldi.

Tickets are on sale now.
