Justin Bieber launches new clothing line Drew House

Justin Bieber has released a new clothing line, and his fans have expressed their disappointment over the prices of the range.

Bieber first teased the launch of his clothing company, Drew House, in late 2018.

The brand, which takes its title after the singer’s middle name, features a range of hoodies, shirts and trousers coming in camel, red, yellow and black, some of which are emblazoned with a smiley motif.

Many of Bieber's avid followers have expressed their dismay over the prices of the products.

The cheapest item is a T-shirt being sold for $48 (£36), while the most expensive is a pair of corduroy trousers priced at $148 (£112).

"Is there a selection for 'broke people'?" one person asked on Instagram.

"I love you but very disappointed by the prices," another person commented.

Others remarked on the fact that the first product introduced by Drew House, a pair of slippers launched as a standalone item in December 2018, were far more reasonably priced.

The slippers were available for $4.99 (£3.81) and quickly sold out.

"When the slippers came out, I really thought Justin was going to launch a really affordable line. He would've been on another level. Guess not..." a fan wrote.

"How you gonna give us a reasonable price for slippers and then shoot way the hell up for everything else?" another person commented.

Corduroy is one of the predominant materials featured throughout the Drew House clothing line, featured on shorts, a hoodie, trousers and a button-up shirt.

Other items in the range have been designed with a smiley face, drawing parallels with the smiley face made famous by 1990s rock band Nirvana.

On the Drew House website, the company describes itself as a "place where you can be yourself".

Some people have compared the aesthetic of the Drew House collection to that of Kanye West's fashion label Yeezy.

"Drew House clothing line is uglier than the Yeezy collection and that's saying something," one person tweeted.

"Both those products are basic and unappealing tbh," another person said.
