Milan fashion week (MFW) has drawn to a close, but not before its sartorial stars proudly showed off the best of Italian street style.

On Tuesday, the fashion industry’s most lauded editors, muses, stylists, and highest-paid supermodels jetted from London to the Italian capital ahead of runway shows from the likes of Gucci, Prada and Versace.

Celebrities including fashion influencer Chiara Ferragni and actors Andrew Garfield, Lucy Boynton, and Will Poulter have been spotted sitting front row at the most in-demand shows.

Meanwhile, model Bella Hadid took to the catwalk at Alberta Ferreti in a bejewelled Grecian-inspired dress hours after attending a Bulgari event in Rome dressed in a corseted red Versace creation.

However, while the attention might be directly on the runways this week – notably at the Fendi show on Thursday following the death of its creative director Karl Largerfeld on Tuesday – it’s worth taking note of the street style looks on ‘display’ on the cobble stones outside the shows.

From brightly-coloured sunglasses, bright green velvet suits, and mismatched prints, click in the gallery above to see the best MFW street style moments.
