Death is 'being treated as unexplained,' Met Police says
A man has been arrested after a body was found in a wheelie bin outside a supermarket in north London.
The body of a man was found behind a Waitrose on Tollington Road in Islington around 4pm on Saturday.
The death is “being treated as unexplained,” the Metropolitan Police said.
Police have sealed off the surrounding streets.
A 52-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder, Scotland Yard said.
“At this stage, the death is being treated as unexplained,” a Met Police spokesman said.
“Detectives are still working to establish the man’s identity.
“A 52-year-old man was arrested on Sunday, 12 May on suspicion of murder. He is currently in custody at a north London police station.”
