A euphoric, and possibly inebriated, David Cameron has been pictured celebrating his second premiership, this time in coalition with Ukip, as an upbeat Nigel Farage pushes him down the street in a supermarket trolley.

Eschewing the Rose Garden, the pair chose to toast their alliance (won after the Tories obtained a near majority and Ukip gained three party seats) with a trip to an English pub.

They were seen enjoying a yard of ale together with Dave patting Nige on the shoulder as they guffawed over their plans to take Britain out of the EU and keep all those jolly foreigners out of Blighty.

The troublesome twosome arrived at the boozer in high spirits on a bicycle made for two, showing their green credentials and a willingness to engage with the common man in the process.

Meanwhile Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg stayed in the office to scan the jobs adverts and Ed Miliband danced off his electoral sorrows with a lesson in Highland dancing from SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon.
