A new exhibition opening this month seeks to capture the vastness and ever-changing character of the sea through studies of British seascapes.
Featuring a wide-range of contemporary interpretations of beaches, crashing waters and shorelines in oils, acrylic and other mediums, the new exhibition at the Red Rag Gallery in Bath aims to “reflect on our enduring fascination and enchantment with the sea.”
Hugh Sean O’Rourke, Jane Lion, Amanda Hoskin and George Muir are just a handful of the artists whose work will be available to the public for three weeks from 19 September.
“We are all captivated and refreshed by our memories and experiences of the sea and this show captures on canvas some of those meaningful, and often intimate, moments,” Carine Besse, Red Rag gallery manager, said.
‘Seascapes’ at the Red Rag Gallery, Bath opens 19 September until 3 October, opening hours 10am to 5pm redraggallery.co.uk
