Draw inspiration

Tate Liverpool's new exhibition takes the story of 20th-century art back to basics. From early anatomical studies of the human body to surrealist pieces by Leonora Carrington, and featuring drawings and sketches by the likes of Francis Bacon and Lucian Freud, Tracing the Century strips away the layers of paint to reveal the bare bones of a transformed tradition.
