Giant nose on bridge surprises London commuters
Show all 7Commuters this morning were surprised to encounter a giant nose as they walked across London's Millennium Bridge.
The 13ft tall and 8ft wide (4m x 2.5m) nose sculpture was placed on the bridge by The London Dungeon to celebrate the opening of their 'Stinky Summer' exhibition, where visitors can smell the foul odours of the Thames river as it would have smelt back in the 17th century.
In the summer of 1858 'The Great Stink' overwhelmed London so badly it led to an Act of Parliament to clean up the City.
The Dungeons also unleashed some of the odious odours of the past onto unsuspecting commuters.
