An exhibition of artwork by Russia’s finest emerging artists opens in London on Wednesday.

New artists have been hand-picked by experts from Moscow’s Institute for Contemporary Art and the Centre for Contemporary Art – Winzavod’s for inclusion in the Practice For Everyday Life exhibition at Calvert 22.

The title for the exhibition comes from Michel de Certau’s seminal text of the same name, which is partly an examination of popular culture in relation to the individual.

The artwork on show is hugely varied and covers all the major disciplines of painting, film, sculpture, photography and performance.
