Join in a giant read-a-thon in Trafalgar Square today as authors, actors and celebrities take part in this free event to celebrate the Evening Standard's Get London Reading campaign.

Those sharing their favourite stories live on stage (children can read along on an interactive screen) include actor Rupert Everett, Children's Laureate Malorie Blackman, author Anthony Horowitz and writer/illustrator Babette Cole.

Also joining in are comedy duo Dick and Dom, Peppa Pig, cast members from Wicked and Billy Elliot the Musical, and Joey, the equine star of Michael Morpurgo's War Horse.
