Comedy of the week: Glasgow Comedy Festival, various venues
Gaun yersel ya beauty! Another year, another corking line-up to deflect the attention, for a wee while, from Glasgow's noisier neighbour.
Among the big hitters rolling into town are Dylan Moran, Harry Hill, Sean Lock, Josie Long, Jimmy Carr, Al Murray and Mark Thomas – pitching up with his incredibly touching tour around his father, Bravo Figaro.
Local heroine Susan Calman's here, too, trying out a fresh batch of candid thoughts – and a trip out to the left field yields a great many delights, among them slightly unnerving comedy hip-hop duo The Rubberbandits and Sanderson Jones – who'll only let you in if he's flogged you a ticket in person.
