Field Day line-up 2014: Thurston Moore, Future Islands, The Wytches and Lovepark confirmed to perform

This summer's festival will take place over the weekend of 7-8 June in London

Metronomy and Pixies are already confirmed to perform at Field Day 2014 (Field Day)

Thurston Moore, Future Islands, The Wytches and Lovepark have been announced as new additions to this summer’s Field Day line-up.

The eclectic festival, taking place over two days for the first time since its launch in 2007, will be held in East London’s Victoria Park on 7 and 8 June.

US singer, songwriter and guitarist Moore, best known for his work with Sonic Youth, will be joining confirmed acts Metronomy, Blood Orange, Ghostpoet, Huw Stephen, DJ Barely Legal, East India Youth and SBTRKT to perform on the Saturday.

Psychedlic trio The Wytches, synthpop group Future Islands and Burgess Hill quartet Lovepark are down to appear on the Sunday, alongside Pixies (performing their only London show in 2014), The Horrors, Temples, Drenge, Telegram, Shy Nature, Childhood and The Bohicas.

US rock band Pixies have just announced the forthcoming release of Indie Cindy, their first studio album since 1991’s Trompe Le Monde. The record will be available from 28 April, making the performance of new songs at Field Day a highly likely possibility.

Early bird ticket sales for Field Day closed in January but tickets are still available online. Prices range from £49.50 for the Saturday and £43 for the Sunday to £78 for the whole weekend. Tickets can also be bought in person from Rough Trade East record store.
