The Railway Man follows the emotional true story of Eric Lomax (Colin Firth), a POW held by the Japanese in WWII, and tortured by one man in particular, as he comes to terms with his experience and starts a journey of forgiveness and redemption at the prompting of his lifelong friend, and his wife Patti (Nicole Kidman).

In this world exclusive clip, the young Eric, played by Jeremy Irvine, recounts tails of brutality in the attempts to build the Thai-Burma ‘Death’ Railway, foreshadowing the gruelling ordeal that awaits him and his fellow POWs.

The Railway Man is released in cinemas on January 10th
