Adrien Broner sends inspiring message to Tiffany Haddish after Manny Pacquiao defeat

Boxer Adrien Broner shared a touching message of positivity to Tiffany Haddish in a post-fight conference after losing to Manny Pacquiao.

The Girls Trip star, who recently made headlines due to a doomed stand-up gig that saw many of her jokes fall flat, asked if she could pose a question to the American welterweight.

“Can you hook your girl up with a fashion nova outfit?” she asked, before Broner delivered the inspiring message.

“You can have whatever you want,” he said, adding: “Keep your head up girl.”

Haddish was forced to apologise to fans after the disastrous stand-up show that took place at the James L Knight Centre in Miami on New Year's Eve.

Throughout the gig, she struggled to remember her material with many of the jokes she did deliver failing to land properly, prompting a string of walkouts.

Audience members then took to social media to express their frustration using the hashtag #SheNotReady, a play on her famous catchphrase: “She ready”.

Haddish later acknowledged that the evening hadn’t gone as planned on Twitter, writing: “Yes this happened. I wish it was better Miami. I prayed on it and I have a strong feeling this will never [happen] again.”

The actor, was touted for a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the 2018 Oscars for her role in hit comedy Girls Trip. She announced last year's nominations alongside Andy Serkis.

This year's nominees will be revealed on Tusday 22 January.
