Bryan Cranston takes lead role as Robert Mazur in mafia thriller The Infiltrator
The Breaking Bad star will play the real Drug Enforcement Agency investigator
Bryan Cranston is set to take the lead role in new investigative thriller The Infiltrator, based on Robert Mazur's autobiography.
The US actor, known by many as Walter White in Breaking Bad, will play Drug Enforcement Agency investigator Mazur and his secret alias Bob Musella.
Brad Furman is directing (he got Cranston involved after the pair worked together on The Lincoln Lawyer), with shooting scheduled to start in London this coming January. Other locations will include Paris and Florida.
"Brad and I have invested a great deal of time ensuring that the casting on this film is absolutely perfect and we feel we've done just that," said Miriam Segal, producer and Good Films founder.
"Bryan's talent is immeasurable and he continues to demonstrate his versatility and skill as an actor. The Infiltrator is a film that demands a dynamic and complex leading man and we could not be more excited to have him on board."
