The US actress is keen to show off her singing talents on screen
Shailene Woodley wants to share her singing talent with the world and play Stevie Nicks in a film.
The US actress, currently playing the lead in hit movie The Fault in Our Stars, is keen to tackle the role of the Fleetwood Mac singer .
Woodley, 22, has taken on parts in drama, romance and action projects in recent years and wants to continue exploring different sides to her talent.
“I would love to play Stevie Nicks,” she told Women’s Health. “She’s just such a fascinating woman who’s lived such a life and is still living such a life. I love that there is no other Stevie Nicks in this world.”
Woodley continued to heap praise on Nicks, saying how much she admires her for being “so fully herself and undividedly herself”.
“That’s such beautiful advice for all of us,” she added. “You do you, we do we. She does in such a beautiful way.”
Woodley stars alongside Ansel Elgort in The Fault in Our Stars, about two teenagers who meet at a cancer support group.
Based on John Green’s popular novel, the film is an “unabashed tearjerker” that sees Woodley “note-perfect in capturing the emotional swirl of living and losing”.
Woodley is signed on to the sci-fi Divergent franchise and is filming for Insurgent, Allegiant: Part 1 and Allegiant: Part 2.
