Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Teaser Trailer

Guardians of the Galaxy is often heralded as Marvel Studio’s greatest film so far, often outranking the likes of The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Iron Man when it comes to critics’ lists.

Unsurprisingly, excitement for James Gunn’s sequel is incredibly high, with the initial teaser trailer - released alongside Doctor Strange - being viewed millions of times across the internet.

Finally, the superhero studio has offered the world a first full glance at the upcoming home, releasing a full trailer a week before the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (from Lucasfilm: also a Disney-owned studio).

In the two-minute clip, we are introduced to some new faces, including Pom Klementieff’s Mantis, as well as a much closer look at scene-stealer Baby Groot.

Recently, actor Chris Pratt - who plays Peter Quill, AKA Star Lord - said filming Vol. 2 helped him cope with his father's death, revealing all in a new interview.

In the sequel, Quill is set to come face-to-face with his own long-lost father: the Ego the Living Planet, as played by Kurt Russell. Despite the unreleased Comic-Con trailer revealing footage of Russell as Ego to the audience, he does not feature in the above trailer.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits UK cinemas 28 April 2017.
