Despite an abrupt change in directors following the firing of Phil Lord and Chris Miller, many are concerned with the state of the Han Solo prequel - but one of the film's stars, Woody Harrelson, has assured Star Wars fans there is no need for concern.

In an extensive interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Harrelson candidly commented on the leadership change of the as-of-yet untitled film which is now being overseen by Ron Howard.

“Alli [Shearmur] gave me the word on [Ron Howard replacing the directors]. He's a wonderful guy,” Harrelson said.

Despite Howard jumping on board with a small part of the film's production left to go, Harrelson confirmed he has already filmed scenes directed by the filmmaker.

“We did shoot one day with him," he continued, "...we had to shoot because Thandie [Newton] had to leave. We start again July 12.

"I think I read some stuff where people were worried about the fate of this movie. I wouldn't worry. The Force is still very much with it."

Starring alongside Harrelson - who can currently be seen in the critically-acclaimed War for the Planet of the Apes - is Alden Ehrenreich in the lead role, Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, and Thandie Newton.
