The final poster of Jennifer Lawrence in her lead Hunger Games role as Katniss Everdeen has been released.
The third instalment in the hugely popular franchise, Mockingjay Part 1 hits the big screen on 20 November, with the official UK trailer due out in five days.
An official synopsis for the new movie tells fans that they will find Katniss in District 13 “after she literally shatters the games forever”.
“Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage,” it reads.
Directed by Francis Lawrence, the Hunger Games films are based on Suzanne Collins’ novel series which, to date, has sold more than 65 million copies in the US alone.
Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Sam Claflin, Elizabeth Banks, Donald Sutherland and the late Phillip Seymour Hoffman are among the other Mockingjay Part 1 cast members.
Last Friday, Lionsgate shared the ominous first look image of Lawrence’s ass-kicking Katniss. The dark and menacing teaser photo showed Lawrence facing away from the camera, channelling Batman dressed all in black.
Katniss was named the highest grossing action movie heroine in the 2015 Guinness World Record book last week. Lawrence’s courageous character helped earn the first two Hunger Games movies £928 million worldwide.
