Inbetweeners 2 to be released on 6 August in the UK
Sequel will follow Will, Jay, Simon and Neil in lads' trip down under
The Inbetweeners 2 movie will be released this summer on Wednesday 6 August, it has been confirmed.
Will, Jay, Simon and Neil will be serving up some more cringeworthy antics in the follow-up to the hugely successful Inbetweeners Movie.
The film will reunite actors Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, Blake Harrison and James Buckley, as the terrible foursome go down under in search of more inevitable ‘sexploits’.
The Inbetweeners 2 has been filmed in Australia and the UK, but few further details about the new movie have been released.
In a statement before filming, creators Iain Morris and Damon Beesley said: “We can't say too much as we don't want to spoil the jokes for you, but what we can exclusively reveal is there will be kangaroos.
“We're hoping to deliver a film that you'll enjoy even more than the last one.”
Upcoming 2014 movie sequels
Show all 5Released in 2011, The Inbetweeners Movie went on to become the most successful British comedy film of all time.
Set three years on from the last film, the next instalment may well see the boys (or Will and Simon at least) enjoying their university summer holiday before the world of mortgages, student loan repayments and 9-5 working days finally hit.
Will Simon have ditched the hair gel? Will Neil still be getting lucky behind the cheese counter in ASDA? All will be revealed on Wednesday 6 August.
