It's Barack Obama's final year in office, so he's dancing to funk with R2-D2

May the groove be with you

Regardless of how you spent this year's Star Wars day - 4 May (you know, May the fourth be with you) - it's undoubted you marked it in as much style as the Obamas.

Celebrated in the manner of a President who has just one final year left in office, President Barack Obama participated in a dance-off alongside the First Lady, R2-D2 and a couple of stormtroopers.

Such was the brevity of the occasion that the White House put global matters aside for one moment and posted the clip on its official Facebook page.

Jiving along to the Mark Ronson hit "Uptown Funk" - Michelle Obama's 'favourite song,' apparently - the two made the most of their final 4 May in the White House residence - and clearly had the time of their lives while doing so.

Alden Ehrenreich has been named as the actor who'll be playing a younger version of Harrison Ford's legendary character, Han Solo in a standalone prequel that'll open in cinemas on 25 May 2018.
