Jurassic World's latest trailer has dropped, giving us a first look at the new hybrid dinosaur set to rival the classic T-Rex.

The trailer starts with a shot of behavioural researcher Owen Grady, played by Chris Pratt, working with his Velociraptors nicknamed Blue, Charlie, Delta and Echo.

Pratt then joins Claire Dearing, played by Bryce Dallas Howard, in an already notorious scene to discuss the dinosaurs.

This scene was released earlier this year and received harsh criticism from Avengers director Joss Whedon, who said it was “70’s era sexist”. He Tweeted:

The trailer goes on to give a brief synopsis of the plot; that visitor numbers to the park are dropping, leading to scientists creating a hybrid dinosaur known as Indominus Rex.

Obviously things don’t go to plan and Rex goes on a deadly rampage that Pratt must help stop.

Jurassic World will be the fourth film in the Jurassic Park series, following on from 2001’s Jurassic Park 3. The film initially began production in 2004 but was pushed back multiple times due to script re-writes.

The first Jurassic World trailer was released in November and has since accumulated over 56 million views. In comparison, the first Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer has received 66 million views since the same month.

Jurassic World is set to hit UK cinemas on the 11th June later this year.
