The King's Man trailer

The first trailer for The King's Man has been released, teasing out what's to come when the Kingsman prequel hits theatres next year.

Set in the early 1900s, The King's Man documents the formation of the spy agency seen in the franchise's first two movies: Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014) and Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017).

Ralph Fiennes stars as British military officer TE Lawrence, while Rhys Ifans features as Siberian mystic Grigori Rasputin.

Gemma Aterton also makes an appearance as Mata Hari, the exotic dancer and courtesan convicted of being a German spy.

In The King's Man, history's most prominent criminal masterminds are coming together to start a war threatening to kill millions of people and must be stopped.

The film also stars Harris Dickinson as new recruit Conrad, as well as Liam Neeson, Daniel Brühl, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Charles Dance, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Djimon Hounsou and Stanley Tucci.
