LEGO Batman Movie: Comic Con trailer introduces Robin and the Joker

Comic-Con's spotlight may have rested on one Batman, and one Batman only - Ben Affleck's caped crusader revealed to be assembling his team in the first trailer for Justice League.

But that doesn't mean there isn't another Batman screaming, just screaming for your attention - the perpetually cooler, more collected, and altogether better (in his own words, surely) LEGO Batman.

Warner Bros.' panel saw a brand new trailer for The LEGO Batman Movie drop, offering our first full look at the Joker (voiced by Zack Galifianakis) and Robin the Boy Wonder (voiced by Michael Cera), with an additional glimpse at Harley Quinn, though it's yet to be announced who's voicing her. She's seen here in her traditional court jester outfit, one that nearly featured in Suicide Squad itself.

Director Chris McKay's description of the villain also happens to offer some choice plot details; as he explained, "The Joker sees himself on the same level as Batman, a peer, at the top of the game. But Batman says that’s not the case, which sends Joker into a spiral trying to prove to Batman that he is indeed the greatest enemy."

The film's spin on Robin sees him as a child that Bruce Wayne accidentally adopts at a charity auction. As McKay revealed, "Robin is a super-positive kid who always sees the glass as half full. Really, at the end of the day, he just wants a hug. Michael brings the sweetness and honesty."

The LEGO Batman Movie hits UK cinemas 10 February 2017.
