Mockingjay: Part 1 new trailer sees District 13 declare 'The Mockingjay lives'

All is not as it seems in the latest clip from the upcoming Hunger Games film

President Snow is back in the second teaser trailer for upcoming Hunger Games movie Mockingjay: Part 1.

Snow, played by Donald Sutherland, is seen delivering another announcement, this time about the united state of the Capitol and the districts “bound together by solidarity”, as Panem’s Peacekeepers stand behind him.

But a strong hint that all is not as it seems comes when District 13 is revealed to be in disagreement.

Brainwashed Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and District 7 champion Johanna (Jena Malone) feature in the short clip, which sees Snow’s broadcast interrupted by a message from District 13’s hacker Beetee (Jeffrey Wright), declaring: “The Mockingjay lives”.

The storyline is set to see heroine Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) forced to become the symbol of District 13’s rebellion while her love interest Peeta is tortured by the authoritarian Capitol.

Liam Hemsworth, Stanley Tucci, Elizabeth Banks, Sam Claflin, Woody Harrelson and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman also star in the penultimate instalment of the franchise, based on Suzanne Collins’ hit novel series.

The last teaser took the form of a one-minute propaganda speech from Snow warning district residents to fall in line.

“Panem today, Panem tomorrow, Panem forever,” he says, after promising that those who resist the system “will bleed”.

The two recent trailers follow a series of posters released as ‘propaganda’ ahead of the film’s arrival in UK cinemas on 21 November.

New cast additions include Julianne Moore as President Coin and Natalie Dormer as Cressida.
