Ralph Breaks the Internet: John C Reilly and Sarah Silverman pitch video games about each other
Let us introduce Sally, the whip-smart puzzle helper, and Curly Pomeroy, tasked with keeping his cowboy customers groomed and happy
John C Reilly and Sarah Silverman have done a wondrous job of bringing to life Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope, the arcade game characters at the centre of Disney's Wreck-It Ralph and its newly released sequel, Ralph Breaks the Internet.
However, we decided to give them the opportunity to pitch their own video game characters. Specifically, ones based on each other. And so, without further ado, let us introduce Sally, the whip-smart puzzle helper, and Curly Pomeroy, tasked with keeping his cowboy customers groomed and happy.
Ralph Breaks the Internet revisits Ralph and Vanellope, now best friends, living out the simple life in Litwak's Family Fun Center & Arcade, fulfilling their duties as arcade game characters by day, while sipping root beers over at Tapper’s by night.
Yet, Vanellope has started to get restless and, after she ventures into the newly connected internet with Ralph, in search of a broken part to her game, she finds herself spellbound.
This is the land of bountiful unpredictability, which Vanellope finds particularly attractive when she comes across a Grand Theft Auto-type online game called “Slaughter Race”, and meets the ultra-slick, leather jacket-clad Shank (Gal Gadot).
The film also features the voices of Taraji P Henson, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, and Ed O’Neill. One scene even unites the Disney princesses, featuring many of the original voice actors: Mandy Moore (Rapunzel), Paige O'Hara (Belle), Anika Noni Rose (Tiana), Linda Larkin (Jasmine), Kelly Macdonald (Merida), Jodie Benson (Ariel), Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel (Anna and Elsa), Ming Na (Mulan), Irene Bedard (Pocahontas), and Auli'i Cravalho (Moana).
Ralph Breaks the Internet is out in UK cinemas now
