Spike Jonze directed the perfume ad to end all perfume ads
The new ad for Kenzo World features The Nice Guys' Margaret Qualley and choreography by 'Chandelier''s Ryan Heffington
Perfume-wearers after a luscious, glamorous choice that will make them feel like one of Hollywood's Golden Age starlets certainly have their fill.
Yet, what about those who really want their choice of scent to scream, "Hey, I'm crazy as hell and proud of it." Finally, brand Kenzo has answered the call; teaming up with Being John Malkovich and Her director Spike Jonze for a perfume ad of a very different breed.
Though its glamorous ballroom settings play up to the traditional, star Margaret Qualley (The Nice Guys) doesn't seem so comfortable playing up to the etiquette. Twitchy and uncomfortable, Qualley finally excuses herself; to set her true soul free and explode into a kicking, licking, and laser-finger dance mania.
The new ad for perfume Kenzo World is all part of a campaign asking its wearers to "take control"; featuring the track 'Mutant Brain' by Sam Spiegel and Ape Drums feat. Assassin, and some pretty wild choreography thanks to Ryan Heffington - also behind Sia's groundbreaking 'Chandelier' video.
Qualley's groove is also reminiscent of another famous Jonze contribution: Christopher Walken's epic hotel dance session in the video to Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice".
