Star Wars spoilers: The best fake Force Awakens plot information from Twitter

Fortunately they're drowning out any real ones

Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiered in LA last night, leading to the first 140-character reviews slipping out on Twitter.

Before long, a #StarWarsSpoilers hashtag started trending and ardent fans of the franchise were terrified, with many swearing off the internet until Thursday when the film is released to the general public.

They needn't have been - premiere attendees apparently seem to have been pretty good at not spoiling everyone's fun and letting on to the film's secrets thus far, and the hashtag was pretty much entirely populated with people making jokes.

Disney is so concerned about people having the experience ruined before release that it's arranged next to no preview screenings and has banned theatre staff from watching it behind closed doors.

"Disney sent us an email stating that we can't do an employee screening for The Force Awakens, and that if we show the movie before 7 p.m. on the 17th, they will pull the movie entirely," a cinema employee wrote on Reddit.

"Please remember that most workers are fans of Star Wars and can't wait to see it either, but may not have yet had the chance. Don't spoil it! Not only that, but there will be a ton of people waiting in line outside the exits. Let's be courteous!"

Spoilers-aside, the general reaction to the film seems to be pretty positive, with several celebrities and critics posting some very brief reviews on Twitter last night.
