Timberlake receives Man of the Year award, Hathaway is Woman of the Year

Harvard University's annual "Hasty Pudding" awards will be presented to pop star Justin Timberlake and actress Anne Hathaway.

With six Grammy Awards, two Emmys and other trophies, the singer/musician, producer and actor can add this title to his collection from Harvard's Hasty Pudding Theatricals, America's oldest drama club. Since 1951, the Ivy League college has bestowed the awards to entertainers for impressive contributions.

Past honors have gone to James Franco, Clint Eastwood, Robert De Niro, Steven Spielberg, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Bruce Willis, and Christopher Walken. The women who have received the tribute include Katharine Hepburn, Julia Roberts, Jodie Foster, Dame Elizabeth Taylor, Charlize Theron, and of course, Meryl Streep.

Actress Anne Hathaway was selected as this year's Woman of the Year by the group and will lead a parade through the streets of Cambridge, Massachusetts before being presented with the Pudding Pot prize on January 28 at the Ivy League college. Timberlake, the 2010 Man of the Year, "one of pop culture's most influential entertainers" will be roasted at a ceremony on February 5.

Hathaway stars with Johnny Depp in Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland releasing in March and joins the stellar ensemble cast in the upcoming Valentine's Day, with Taylor Lautner, Jennifer Garner, Jennifer Biel, Jaime Foxx, Patrick Dempsey, plus more.

The Oscar-nominated actress for Rachel Getting Married will also be onhand to announce the 82nd Academy Award nominations on February 2 at 5:30 am PT with  Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Tom Sherak.
Sherak and Hathaway will unveil the nominations in 10 of the 24 categories at a 5:30 AM PST news conference at the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.

Timberlake will appear in the upcoming film, The Social Network about the founding of Facebook, due for release in October 2010. Directed by David Fincher ( The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Aliens).
