Wonder Woman: Fox news hosts annoyed Gal Gadot's superhero is not American

'It’s cool to hate America these days'

Wonder Woman has won rave reviews across the Internet, critics calling the latest superhero film DC’s best since The Dark Knight Rises.

However, Fox News has an issue with Gal Gadot’s comic book adaptation: the character’s not American enough. Yes, the film’s Amazonian warrior princess doesn’t represent the people of Donald Trump’s country.

“I think, nowadays, sadly, money trumps patriotism,” guest Dion Baia said, according to EW. “Especially, recently, I personally feel like we’re not really very patriotic, the country, in a certain sense. They want these movies to succeed internationally, so they’re going to dial back.”

Baia continued by commenting on the character’s colour scheme, discussing how Wonder Woman’s costume is red, gold, and blue rather than the patriotic red, white, and blue. The show’s host Neil Cavuto added how Chris Evans’s version of Captain America’s patriotism has been toned down.

“I think the Hollywood aspect, we see this time and time again, it’s cool to hate America these days,” added personality Mike Gunzelman. Whether a joke or not, he concluded: “Just go see Baywatch.”

Wonder Woman — about a fictional Amazonian superhero, played by an Israeli actress — is playing in cinemas now.
