Wreck-It-Ralph 2 has been in the works ever since the rather successful original was released by Disney in 2013, and now the follow-up finally has a name.

Disney announced the title - Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It-Ralph 2 - during its slate presentation at CinemaCon on Tuesday (28 March).

The returning voice cast includes John C. Reilly, Jane Lynch and Sarah Silverman as Venellope von Schweetz.

Rich Moore, the man behind Disney's Oscar-winning Zootropolis, will direct alongside Phil Johnston.

Disney has a typically busy year ahead with Pixar films Cars 3 and Coco set for release this June and November, respectively.

Wreck-It-Ralph followed the titular video game villain who longed to be seen as a hero. This follow-up, set six years on, will focus on Ralph's adventures in the internet data space when a Wi-Fi router gets plugged into the arcade where he lives.

Coco - Teaser Trailer

The sequel is scheduled to be released 9 March 2018.
