Low-budget action thrillers don't come with any less velocity than Bullet, a film that makes even Michael Winner's lesser efforts seem like minor masterpieces by comparison.
Danny Trejo is an undercover cop in LA whose grandson is kidnapped by a criminal kingpin, Carlito Kane (Jonathan Banks). Kane hopes to save his own son, who is on death row, by bartering hostages.
The film was produced by Robert Rodriguez but, strangely, completely lacks the tongue-in-cheek humour and self-parodic elements that partially redeems the Machete films he made with Trejo.
