Hit and Run is a considerably more enjoyable road movie with an engaging cast and script. Dax Shepard, who also co-wrote this Smokey and the Bandit-like thriller, plays Charlie Bronson, a former getaway driver who is in a witness-protection program in a sleepy Californian town, living with his professor girlfriend, Annie (Kristen Bell).
When Annie is offered an ideal posting in LA, Charlie agrees to come with her risking his life into the bargain. Funny, with lovely chemistry between Shepard and Bell.
