The BBC's Sherlock has been such a hoot, with the chemistry between Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman so perfect, that Guy Ritchie's two frenetic efforts have been left somewhat trailing in its wake.
Plus, Robert Downey Jr's hammy, often inaudible, Holmes doesn't really work. However, Ritchie instils his customary vim into this loose adaptation of Conan Doyle's The Final Problem and Jared Harris is good value as the fiendish Professor Moriarty.
