The ingredients are traditional ones: the noble bank robber (Affleck); the golden-hearted girlfriend (Rebecca Hall) who inspires him to go straight; the unstable associate (Jeremy Renner) pressuring him to do One Last Job. But thrillers this intelligent, well-acted and tautly scripted are all too rare.
