Glastonbury the Movie in Flashback (12A)

Unless you were actually present at Glastonbury in 1993, when most of this documentary's footage was shot, it will carry little force either as sentimental souvenir or musical entertainment.

Director Robin Mahoney's ground-level portrait of the festival – the sights, the sounds, the smells – is scrappy and without focus, jumping between subjects like a hyperactive flea.

If you subscribe to the notion of rock festivals as reconstructed Medieval fairs, with fire swallowers and minstrels, it might hold some appeal. But you'll be a long time waiting for magic on stage: an early outing from The Verve was one of the sparse highlights.
