The video comes ahead of the release of their brand new album Find A Light, out on Friday 6 April.

Q&A with Charlie from Blackberry Smoke

Tell us a bit about what it’s been like making this new record?

It was a very smooth process. Sometimes making records can be an arduous undertaking but this one just sorta fell into place nicely. We had a great group of people working with us and a lot of positivity flowing.

Were you listening to anything in particular around the time that you think may influenced it?

Nothing in particular, but I’m constantly listening to music, so you never know what might be getting through.

What are some new artists are you excited about?

I really like Lukas Nelson and Promise Of The Real, Colter Wall, Once And Future Band, The Texas Gentlemen, Band Of Heathens, Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown…tons of stuff.

What was the first gig you ever played and what’s been the best so far?

The first paying gig I ever played was a birthday party in LaGrange, Georgia that got raided and everyone went to jail. It would most likely be impossible to pick a gig that I would consider the best.

What are you hoping for by the end of 2018? I hope that people will enjoy our new album and come out to see our shows.

Find A Light, the new album from Blackberry Smoke, is out on 6 April
