Happy campers have an outstanding line-up of British folk artists to choose from over this three-day festival. Go-karting and the Splash Waterworld have to be done, but with around 30 acts, featuring some of the biggest names in the British folk scene, downtime is scarce.

Shinning up to the top of the weekend bill are June Tabor and Oysterband, touring their magnificent Ragged Kingdom album. There's also Thea Gilmore and folk-rock veteran Ashley Hutchings.

The new-generation Albion Band, with Hutchings' son Blair Dunlop, is among a contingent of new stars, including Heidi Talbot with fiddler John McCusker; Fay Hield and the Hurricane Party, featuring Boden and Sweeney from Bellowhead; and, with a new album, Wake the Union, about to burst through the pipes, Show of Hands.

With Ireland's Fureys, Scotland's String Driven Thing and Morris from the Belles of London City also on, the music of the islands gets a good hearing here.
