American rapper Kanye West is the most popular artist in the blogosphere on November 8, according to The Hype Machine. US indie rockers Smith Westerns and Australian outfit Tame Impala maintain second and third positions. Also returning to the top ten: The Radio Dept. and Caribou.

Swedish indie rockers The Radio Dept. were last in the blogs in September after the release of political anthem "The New Improved Hypocrisy" days before the Swedish general election. Now the band is back with a new EP, Never Follow Suit, due on November 9 via Labrador Records, which includes "The New Improved Hypocrisy." "Still waving their tattered and torn flag for Labrador," writes Australian blogger Hyperbole (hypherboloe.tv), "here's The Radio Dept.'s latest political tune, filled with all the discontent and restlessness that they've made their signature recently."

Caribou, the performing name for Canadian electronic musician Daniel Victor Snaith, released a remix album titled Swim Remixes on November 2, and bloggers are swapping the album's tracks as well as additional remixes, including UK DJ Midland's rendition of the track "Sun." "Lots of echo and effects give this tune even more amazing presence and atmosphere than the original," writes blogger Phuturelabs (www.phuturelabs.com).
