Bring Me The Horizon have been revealed as the fourth headline act for All Points East Festival.

In their only UK headline slot of 2019, the Sheffield five-piece will close the penultimate day (Friday 31 May) of music at the event in London’s Victoria park. It is the first UK show they have announced in support of their new album AMO, which will be released next year.

BMTH are the final headliners to be added, after The Chemical Brothers and Bon Iver were announced last month, and Christine and the Queens was named yesterday.

Post-punk outfit IDLES, hip-hop duo Run the Jewels and indie rock band Nothing But Thieves are among the other acts who will perform alongside BMTH.

All Points East will be Bring Me The Horizon’s first major UK headline slot, and their first festival appearance since their secret set at Reading and Leeds last summer.

The announcement comes fresh from the band’s November UK arena tour, which included two sold-out shows at Alexandra Palace.

AMO, their sixth full-length album, will be released on January 25, following on from 2015’s That’s The Spirit that propelled the metal band into arenas across the country in a tour the following year. Sempiternal, the bands fourth album form 2013, received widespread critical acclaim and achieved gold-selling status in the UK, the US and Australia.

IDLES will play in support of their 2018 album Joy as an Act of Resistance, which received critical praise for its criticism of toxic masculinity. Run the Jewels, Nothing But Thieves, Scarlxrd and Yonaka form the rest of today’s (5 December) announcement.

All Points East takes place in Victoria Park and runs from 24 May to 2 June.
