A brand new London festival from the organisers behind Coachella is set to launch next year in Victoria Park.

All Points East will take place in May 2018, opening with a three-day festival headlined by The xx, and with three standalone concerts on consecutive nights.

Also confirmed to perform so far are The National, War On Drugs, Future Islands, and Warpaint.

Organisers AEG and Goldenvoice beat competition from Field Day and Lovebox to win the exclusive contract to host events in Victoria Park.

Field Day recently announced that it would no longer host the event in east London, while Lovebox has yet to announce a 2018 festival.

AEG currently looks after the British Summer Time series of outdoor shows in Hyde Park, while Goldenvoice manages US festivals Coachella, FYF Fest, and Panorama.

Tickets to All Points East will go on sale on Friday 27 October.
