Björk has announced the details of her ninth studio album Vulnicura, which will be released in March.

The Icelandic singer posted a handwritten note detailing the title and tracklists of the album on her Facebook page.

She said: “¡¡Ladies & gentleman!! / I am very proud to announce my new album is coming out in March / It is called: Vulnicura / the songs are called stonemilker, lionsong, history of touches, black lake, family, not get, atom dance, mouth mantra & quicksand / I hope you will enjoy it!! Warmthness, Bjork.”

Björk also confirmed that two of the songs on the album have been co-written with Venezuelan producer Arca, and one with John Flynn. She added that Yorkshire born musician The Haxan Cloak had produced and mixed tracks on the record.

The singer has previously co-produced Arca’s album, who is known for working with FKA Twigs and Kanye West.

Vulnicura will be Björk’s first release since her last album Biophilia in 2011.

Last year, the album became the first ever album app to be included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
