Explicit Boris Johnson attack song battling for Christmas number one

Song titled ‘Boris Johnson is a F***ing C***’ rose to No 2 in the UK iTunes and Amazon charts

A song attacking Boris Johnson is facing off against Mariah Carey and Ladbaby for this year’s Christmas No 1.

Comedy rock group The Kunts have risen up the charts in recent weeks with their track about the prime minister, which is titled: “Boris Johnson is a F***ing C***.”

The 82-second-long track hears the band repeat the words: “Boris Johnson is a f***ing c***/ He’s a f***ing c***.”

The track peaked at No 2 in the UK iTunes chart and is currently in fourth place. On Amazon Music, the track has so far peaked in second place and is currently in third position.

In October, it was given the backing for Christmas No 1 by Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker, who shared a link to the song on Twitter.

No matter where the track places in the final Christmas chart, which will be announced on Friday 25 December, “Boris Johnson is a F***ing C***” is unlikely to be played in full on Radio 1.

During The Official Chart: First Look show on Sunday (20 December), presenter Katie Thistleton said that the song had “so many bad words in it, we can’t play it on daytime Radio 1”.

Also battling it out for the top spot are Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas is You”, which earlier this month topped the chart for the first time, 26 years after it was first released.

LadBaby, who scored the last two Christmas No 1s, will also be trying once again to top the charts with his single “Don’t Stop Me Eatin’”, proceeds of which go to The Trussell Trust.

However, there may also be competition from Jess Glynne and her cover of “This Christmas” and Ed Sheeran, who released his new single “Afterglow” on Monday (21 December).
