Tickets for Brand New’s June tour sold out within seconds at 9am this morning leaving many fans disappointed and then angered to find tickets immediately for sale on secondary sites for more than £200.

The alternative rockers are set to play four intimate shows this June, including dates at Manchester's Royal Northern College of Music and London's Brooklyn Bowl.

Brand New tickets costing as much as £249.95

For fans of a band who have played at Wembley arena this was a huge deal. But many claim that when they tried to buy tickets bang on 9am they were already sold out.

Disappointment, however, soon turned to anger as secondary market websites such as Stubhub started to sell tickets for several times their £30 face value.

Following the furore on social media the band went on to announce five more dates in September, albeit in not quite so small venues.

Earlier this week the band revealed their first studio recording in six years, "Mene".

Tickets for Septembers tour will be available from 9am tomorrow. Tour dates are as follows:

- 10 September, Albert Hall , Manchester

- 11 September, Alexandra Palace, London

- 20 September, Empire, Middlesbrough

- 21 September, Usher Hall, Edinburgh

- 22 September, Vicar Street, Dublin
